GHUCCTS Announces Kathryn Turner as GU CRU Nurse Manager

KTHeadShot.pngThe Georgetown-Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Science (GHUCCTS) is pleased to announce that Kathryn Turner, BSN, RN has taken over the role as the Nurse Manager of the Georgetown University Medical Center Clinical Research Unit (CRU) as of November 5, 2018. 

Kathryn comes to the CRU with a variety of clinical experiences that will lend value to the CRU. She began her nursing career at Children’s National in 2015 after receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland. At Children’s Kathryn assumed leadership roles such as charge nurse and management of patient safety and satisfaction. In 2017 Kathryn began part-time work on the CRU while also continuing her work at Children’s. Kathryn’s past experiences and leadership skills will be an asset to the CRU. 

Kathryn will report to Jacqueline Jonklaas, MD, PhD., Program Director of the CRU.  She is eager to get to know the study teams that currently use the CRU or others that plan to use the CRU. She can be reached via email at kat59@georgetown.edu or 202-444-2639.
