Date Fri, Feb 5
Time 12: 00 PM - 1: 00 PM
Location Zoom

This month's Research Grand Rounds features Paul Nagy, Ph.D., Associate Professor in Radiology and Health Science Informatics at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Nagy also serves as the Deputy Director of the Johns Hopkins Medicine Technology Innovation Center. Dr. Nagy will discuss "Leveraging a precision medicine platform to accelerate covid-19 research for rapid translation to clinical use both locally and nationally".

Dr. Paul Nagy's research has spanned informatics, analytics, and medical quality and safety, with a focus on imaging informatics. He is a member of the Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality and leads an innovative multidisciplinary longitudinal leadership development program focused on clinical informatics, clinical analytics, and creating commercial ventures. In his talk, he will share recent work, during the COVID-19 pandemic in which his team leveraged a precision medicine platform to rapidly develop a clinical registry, conduct clinical research with attention to rigor and reproducibility, and translate these efforts to aid practice locally and further research nationally.
