The Georgetown-Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Science (GHUCCTS) invites you to attend ‘GHUCCTS in the (Virtual) Community’. GITVC aims to promote clinical research awareness, diversity in research, and community-engaged research through virtual outreach efforts that will be held monthly.
Our guest speaker, Siham Mahgoub, MD, plays an instrumental role in the COVID- 19 pandemic as lead researcher for the COVID-19 Vaccine Study at Howard University. Carla Williams, Ph.D., GHUCCTS community engagement core director, will moderate the event.
Our speakers will address the following:
- What are the Phases of a clinical trial?
- Are Vaccine Trials safe? How?
- Information on how to volunteer to participate in the Howard University vaccine trial.
