MHRI-GHUCCTS Monthly Statistical Seminar Series: Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)

Date Fri, Sep 20
Time 12: 00 PM - 1: 00 PM
Location Zoom

This month's MHRI-GHUCCTS Monthly Statistical Seminar Series will be held Friday, September 20, 2024, from 12 PM - 1 PM. This series features Dr. Paul Kolm, Associate Director in the Center for Biostatistics, Informatics, & Data Science (CBIDS) at MedStar Health Research Institute.

The topic of this month's seminar will be Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). In this session, we will discuss the statistical analysis of latent variables – unobserved variables presumably defined by a set of observed variables. The analysis includes both a regression component (latent variable a function of observed or other latent variables) and a measurement component – do the observed variables reliably define the latent variable.
