MHRI-GHUCCTS Monthly Statistical Seminar Series: Linear and Non-Linear Models

Date Fri, Apr 15
Time 12: 00 PM - 1: 00 PM
Location Zoom

This month's MHRI-GHUCCTS Monthly Statistical Seminar Series features Paul Kolm, PhD, Associate Director of Department of Biostatistics and Biomedical Informatics at MedStar Health Research Institute. Dr. Kolm will discuss "Linear and Non-linear Models."

Abstract: Linear regression models are commonplace in published research studies. However, when a graph of the data is included, it is obvious that the relationship(s) would be better modeled as non-linear. This session will consider methods for determining whether a model should be linear or non-linear and methods for developing a non-linear model.
