2020 TL1 Poolside Chat: Exploring Careers in Government

The Center for Leading Innovation & Collaboration (CLIC) is hosting three sessions of interactive conversations with leaders who will share their knowledge about career opportunities in industry, government, and scientific societies. This month's poolside chat is facilitated by Rebecca Brown, MEd, MN, RN, PHN, TL1 Scholar at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing.

This event is open to all of our TL1 programs. If you are interested in attending please use the register and a link to the meeting will be sent to you.

Science Communication and Public Engagement Fundamentals focuses on the core components of successful public engagement. Participants are introduced to the AAAS public engagement framework, a guide they can apply to all kinds of interactions. Participants learn how to identify a public engagement goal, determine the relevant audience, craft tailored messages to achieve their goal and rehearse their engagement scenario.
This Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) NIH "Rethinking Clinical Trials" Grand Rounds features Patrick O’Connor, MD, MA, MPH and JoAnn Sperl-Hillen, MD, Senior Clinical Investigators at the HealthPartners Institute. Dr. O'Connor and Dr. Sperl-Hillen will discuss "Outpatient Clinical Decision Support – An Evidence-Based Implementation Framework".
