Spring 2024 TL1 Visiting Science Working Group Mini-Symposium

Date Wed, Mar 27
Time 12: 00 PM - 2: 00 PM
Location Virtual

William Schnaper Visiting Scientist (WSVS) TL1 Spring 2024 Mini-Symposium: "Crossing Boundaries in Clinical and Translational Science."

CTSA WSVS mini-symposium, hosted by the Georgetown-Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Science (GHUCCTS) and co-sponsored by Coordination, Communication, and Operations Support (CCOS).

This will be held over Zoom.  Selected speakers will present for 8 minutes followed by a 2-minute Q&A.

This is a great opportunity for TL1 trainees to present their research and get feedback in a national CTSA forum one week before the 2024 Translational Science meeting.

The goal of the virtual mini-symposium is to highlight fellows' stories of innovation, creativity, adaptability, and including the development of new research questions and adaptation of ongoing research. Crossing boundaries includes developing research questions/conducting research that involves interdisciplinary/transdisciplinary concepts, tools, and techniques as well as stories of adaptation as a result of research boundaries/limitations/roadblocks.

All TL1 predoctoral students and postdoctoral fellows are encouraged to apply, regardless of their CTSA hub, training level, or research focus.

Abstracts are due by March 13th, 2024 and applicants will be notified on March 20th, 2024 about the status of their submissions.

Register to attend and support our TL1 trainees!
