MHRI-GHUCCTS Monthly Statistical Seminar Series: Comparative Effectiveness Analysis: Randomization and Pseudo-randomization

Date Fri, Nov 18
Time 12: 00 PM - 1: 00 PM
Location Zoom

This month's MHRI-GHUCCTS Monthly Statistical Seminar Series features Paul Kolm, PhD, Associate Director in the Department of Biostatistics and Biomedical Informatics at MedStar Health Research Institute. Dr. Kolm will discuss randomized clinical trials, the gold standard of research design. He will further talk about studies that are not randomized presenting a challenge to statistical analysis in that results can be biased due to confounding variables. Dr. Kolm will then look at methods that help to overcome bias.
