CTSA GHUCCTS has ongoing collaborations with investigators at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Most recently this has focused on Environmental Determinants of Health (both social and physical), as a GHUCCTS core activity. Our ORNL partners, including the Chief of the Section for Advanced Computing in Health Sciences, are eager to establish additional collaborations with clinicians and other health scientists in order to develop machine learning-derived models for contributing to management decisions and improving understanding of public health problems.
They have access to state-of-the-art high capacity computing and unique expertise in geospatial analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning and artificial intelligence. Lead investigators in the collaboration requested a working visit with investigators at our GHUCCTS institutions with the goal of stimulating collaboration and clinician input on potential joint research projects.
Join us for this collaboration workshop scheduled for Tuesday, March 26.
The day will begin with meetings of interested faculty at Georgetown University, from 10:00-12:30 pm in the Warwick Evans Conference Room in Building D, and with faculty at Howard University from 2:30-5:00 in the CRU Conference Room.
