TBS Grant Writing Workshop (GWW) Series Registration is now open for the 2026-2027 cycle

The Georgetown-Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Science (GHUCCTS) Translational Biomedical Science (TBS) Program is offering a six-month, twice-monthly Grant Writing Workshop Series for individuals actively developing an individual fellowship, career development, or research project grant application for submission within the next 12 months.

Workshops will be held on select Thursdays from 5:30–7:30 p.m. via Zoom as part of the TBS Evening Workshop Series.

Throughout the program, participants will develop, revise, and prepare an NIH F-, K-, or R-series grant application—or an equivalent proposal—for submission. Sessions will include:

  • Guidance on best practices for developing individual grant components
  • Constructive feedback from experienced grant writers and facilitators
  • Peer-review discussions and collaborative proposal development
  • Opportunities to give and receive feedback on proposal drafts


Participation Requirements

  • Complete & upload a draft of their Specific Aims page through the registration portal by the deadline
  • Participate in at least five of the six peer-review discussion sessions
  • Attend at least four of the five grant-writing presentations
  • Submit proposal drafts and peer feedback by the established deadlines
