Whether you’re presenting to a room of 500 at a conference or you bump into a potential collaborator in the elevator, every time you talk about your work, it should be the beginning of a conversation–in the best case, one that leads to something actually happening. In this interactive workshop, you will:
- Understand basic techniques for making your presentations work
- Apply those techniques on the spot by creating at least one elevator pitch
- Practice revising and presenting what you’ve written
- Learn how to initiate productive — even enjoyable — conversations with new collaborators
Join us for a two-day in-person workshop. At the end of each day, there will be a limited number of 1:1 coaching session with speaker Brian Sostek.
Brian Sostek is an award-winning educator and nationally recognized expert in science communication whose work uniquely integrates evidence-based communication methods with techniques from the performing arts to address the specialized needs of clinical and translational researchers.
