Leaderboard-AWARE-DC2.jpgThe Georgetown Howard Universities Center for Clinical & Translational Science (GHUCCTS) is helping to plan this year's AWARE for All D.C. Clinical Research Education Day, sponsored by the Center for Information & Study on Clinical Research Participation (CISCRP).

The event will be held at the Armour J. Blackburn University Center at Howard University from 5:00PM – 8:00PM, and will feature an overview presentation and a panel discussion about the clinical research process from research professionals and study participants.

AWARE is a free program that brings the local community together to learn about the clinical research process. The event includes free health screenings, free food, and information about clinical research, new medical treatments under development, and relevant community resources. The event also serves as a forum for open dialogue between patients, caregivers, members of the public, and health and research professionals. AWARE for All events typically welcome between 300 – 600 attendees. This year we are excited to offer a diverse array of health screenings, engaging speakers, and community health groups exhibiting in our “Information Alley.”
